On 28 May 2019, the ALEXANDER OCHS PRIVATE Gallery invites Friederike Fast, curator at MARTA in Herford, to a conversation with sculptor Yvonne Roeb.
The sculptor Yvonne Roeb, who works in Berlin and Düsseldorf, creates sculptural works that appear at first glance like animal and plant preparations or even fossils, but at the same time are also reminiscent of surreal mysterious dream creatures. She brings together a wide variety of materials such as plaster, velvet, acrylic glass, and even hair to create her own, sometimes bizarre, new language of form.

Yvonne Roeb, Bocca, 2018, glazed ceramic, acrylic glass, two-piece, 12 x 18.5 x 23.5 cm
The interview will take place at Charlottenburger Schillerstraße 15 on Tuesday, 28 May 2019 at 19:00. Besides works by Roeb, we will show works by Bettina Scholz, Sven Drühl, Hermann Nitsch and Micha Ullman until 15 June 2019.
