The solo exhibition ‘Receding Worlds’, which can be seen until 27 February 2020 in the Kühlhaus at Gleisdreieck, shows 15 large-format works by artist Cyril Schirmbeck from his identically named cycle.

The minimalist abstract photographs depict the power and energy, but also the fragility of glacial lanscapes, which are currently rapidly receding.

About the artist
Cyril Schirmbeck is a Berlin based photographer and fine artist known for his fashion, portrait and landscape photography. A native of Frankfurt, Germany, Cyril grew up in Algeria and Morocco.

Cyril Schirmbeck
Inspired by a fascination to capture the world visually, he travelled throughout the U.S., Asia and Europe and deepened his relationship with the craft. He has been invited to display his works in various solo and group exhibitions.
