In 2019, the Kunstverein Ost will for the first time announce a scholarship combined with a solo exhibition at KVOST during Berlin Art Week. Deadline for applications: 7th April 2019.
The exhibition addresses artists whose biographical roots lie in Eastern Europe / the former Eastern bloc.
With the new studio fellowship and artist-in-residence program, KVOST invites artists* to explore the complex network of meanings of Leipziger Strasse / Dönhoffplatz and its surroundings or to engage with other aspects of the East. The works created in this process will be presented in a solo exhibition during Berlin Art Week.
KVOST is pleased to announce Alicja Kwade, Slavs and Tatars and the curator team Nathalie Hoyos & Rainald Schumacher as members of this year’s jury.
The application documents are available immediately at www.kvost.de. The closing date for applications is 07.04.2019.

The Kunstverein Ost – KVOST for short – was founded in 2018 and is dedicated to supporting artists* who come from Eastern Europe or whose lives and working methods were shaped by the experience of the former Eastern Bloc.
