The Kolonnaden Bar in the Kolonnadenhof of the Museum Island Berlin (Bodestraße, 10178 Berlin) combines everything that defines a good bar at one of the most beautiful places in Berlin: stimulating conversations, relaxed get-togethers and cold drinks. Every evening begins with a talk, followed by DJs. This year’s series has the motto “Neighbourhoods”: Moderator Jenni Zylka discusses her perspective on the Museum Island Berlin with guests from neighbouring institutions. The landmark of the series is a mobile round bar designed by Wolfgang Flad.

The Kolonnaden Bar, which was launched with great success in the summer of 2017, has a long tradition on the Museum Island: a refreshment hall opened among the colonnades at the end of the 19th century, which enjoyed great popularity among Berliners until the 1930s.
